Big Bud is one of the most sold and grown seeds of the past 40 or so years, and it's easy to see why. A blend of the big three - Afghani (landrace), Northern Lights, and Skunk, which make up the backbone of just so many amazing strains - Big Bud brings all the classic Indica effects and wraps them up in a tasty little (or not so little) package.

Big Bud strain information
One of the first refugees of the "War On Drugs", Big Bud actually originated in West Coast USA before being care-packaged over to Amsterdam in the early 80s to make sure this amazing strain didn't end up on the trash pile.
MSNL have now re-mastered their own version of Big Bud - Back-bred to perfection, the pheno variation is kept to an absolute minimum, the yields (500-600gr/m²) and potency (20% THC) are super consistent, and it is about as easy to grow as it gets.
What Are The Effects Of Big Bud?
With its almost 90% Indica genetics, you can expect a relaxing old time from the very first puff.
The high is deeply sedative - perfect for days off, evenings in, rainy afternoons... or just whenever you feel like it, really!
Big Bud is a big hit with medicinal cannabis patients, offering heavy pain relief, stress relief, and making sleep much easier.
How do you grow Big Bud Seeds
Big Bud was the first real "Cash Crop" seed and honestly changed what growers’ thought was possible with a single plant.
Big Buds' Afghani/Indica dominance makes it perfect for slightly cooler temps and indoor grows., but this strain can do well in most climates. The big, fat, almost cabbage-shaped buds look amazing just before harvest, but be warned: trimming this one up is a big job. Topping out at about two meters (7 feet), look to top your Big Bud plants a few times and LST to keep them a little more horizontal.
Flowering takes 8 to 10 weeks, and if you want purple hues, keep the overnight or lights off temperatures around the 15 -17C (60F) mark towards the end of flowering.
Big Bud Taste And Smell
Remember what weed used to taste like?
That classic mix of dank skunky goodness, with a little pine and a hint of spice at the end?
Yep, that's Big Bud through and through. The dominant terpenes Myrcene, Caryophyllene, and Pinene make up that quintessential smell and taste.
