Sour Diesel strain information
Sour Diesel, bred by crossing Chemdawg #91 with Super Skunk, is a 70/30 Sativa-dominant hybrid renowned for its energizing and creative effects that are so well balanced by that sprinkling of Indica.
Thanks to the genetic split, this strain does best in tropical, subtropical, and warm climates, regularly offering up yields of 500-600gr/m². The name probably gives it away, but the stank that emanates from Sour Diesel is like few others, and about as loud as a strain can be. Dank, gassy, and filled with a hint of sour lemon zest, once you light up, you'll get the name.
What Are The Effects Of Sour Diesel?
Sour Diesel high is a little different to most Sativa dominant hybrids. The initial rush isn’t as fast as some, but after about 10 minutes, you'll start to feel the uplifting and cerebral effects. This is perfect for anyone struggling with stress, anxiety or depression, as it can help boost mood and provide a burst of energy without feeling jittery or anxious. The Indica influence will also bring some relaxation to the body without causing sedation, making this strain great for daytime use.
THC usually ranges from 20 - 24%.
How do you grow Sour Diesel Seeds
The Sativa heavy lineage means that most Sour Diesel seeds will grow into true 180 cm - 220 cm beasts if left untouched, which is great for some but a little much for most. You can easily get the height under control with some LST and topping, and don't worry too much, this strain can take a real beating.
Expect to see yields of 500-600gr/m² if everything goes to plan, and this can be boosted with a slightly longer than usual veg period. During the flowering stage, the buds take on a light green color that is known for some reddish hues in colder weather, and flowering should be finished up by the 11-week mark at the latest.
Sour Diesel Taste And Smell
Caryophyllene, Myrcene, and Limonene are the three big terpenes here, all of which meld to create that instantly recognizable aroma. It's dank, pungent, and skunky, with a hint of diesel fuel and citrus undertones.
